"Art for Art's Sake" Series

Journal Entry: Sun Sep 9, 2007, 10:26 PM
For about the next month or so (hopefully) I am going to start drawing and/or writing anything and everything. I am going to post it here or on my livejournal. I am going to try a minimum of two pieces a week. No matter how "crappy" I think it is, I'm still going to post it. I think by doing this I'll get my creative juices flowing in hopes of pulling me out of my art block.

Stay tuned to see what I come up with!

Erotic Fiction Piece

Journal Entry: Tue Aug 21, 2007, 2:07 PM
I have been toying with the idea of writing an erotic fiction piece. But I am having trouble figuring out my characters.

I want to write about a woman that kidnaps young women (18-22 probably as I don't want about child molestation or anything). She ties them up kind of spread eagle in the air and sexually assualts them, but nothing violent or whatever. Not really. Just a little light bondage, etc.

One girl falls in love with her though. But I am having trouble trying to psychologically figure the characters out. Like MO and stuff like that. I dunno. I have a block already and I haven't even started. But I REALLY want to write this story.

Getting more into drawing

Journal Entry: Mon Aug 13, 2007, 4:04 PM
I've never really tried to draw before except a couple doodles here and ther and on my notes in school. Recently I got inspired to paint a picture for my friend and have been drawing ever since. I picked up Jack Hamm's "Drawing the Head and Figure" and have been practicing drawing some of my spiritual friends.

I'm not nearly as good as I want to be but practice makes perfect or so they say. I find that creating art has a calming effect on me which in my darkest hours is much needed. I know my pieces aren't what they could be, but I think that for somone who has never really drawn before or even tried to, that they're pretty good. Better than my husband's lol. Bless his heart. All of his figures look exactly the same to me.

I am flabbergasted at all of the beautiful pieces I have been seeing around DA. I would like to encourage everybody to keep it up, even if you get some negative criticism. I like looking at the deviations and knowing that the artist attatched a little piece of their heart, and that makes it extremely beautiful no matter what others say.

And that's my opinion :)
